Prisca Sanon: As a young student, Prisca had a fear of math and science but mastered these subjects in middle school with time and hard work. Since then, she has developed a passion for both subjects of study that has equipped her with the tools to make a difference in her students’ lives. Her personal experience as a struggling student developed in her the ability to help students conquer their fear of math and science by assisting them in defining proper learning strategies tailored to their cognitive abilities. Prisca holds an Associate degree in Science, a BS in Civil Engineering, a BS in Biology, and a Graduate Diploma in Airport Engineering. She earned her degrees respectively from Massasoit Community College, Faculty of Science (State University of Haiti, Haiti), UMASS Boston (MA), and Singapore Aviation Academy (Singapore).
Prisca has more than ten years of experience tutoring topics including statistics, developmental mathematics, college algebra, calculus, biology, physics, and chemistry. She is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Mathematics and Science Department and the STEM Lead Research Mentor at Massasoit Community College. The STEM program initiates Massasoit students in academic research while preparing them to successfully transfer to four- year colleges in STEM related fields. Prisca has experience working with students from a variety of backgrounds and with student on different levels of learning. Her conceptual approach to teaching helps those students to trade memorization for understanding and become independent learners
Murielle St. Paul: Murielle has been teaching for 11 years in Independent Boarding Schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She earned her Undergraduate degree in Biology and Health Science from the University of Hartford and holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of St. Joseph. She has worked as a High School Math and Science teacher as well as Middle School Science teacher. Her teaching specializes in Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and Human Anatomy & Physiology. She has extensive experience in working as a Learning Specialist serving students with Dyslexia, ADHD, Giftedness, and various Learning Disabilities. Currently Murielle is a Learning Specialist working as the Assistant Director of Academic Support at Milton Academy.
